The Smiley Face Diary

 Today, my mother gave Nhi a small notebook with a bright yellow cover and a lovely smiley face. She said: "This is the Smiley Face Diary. Every day, write down something that makes you happy!"

In the evening, Nhi sat at her small desk, opened her brand new notebook. She drew a sun and wrote: "Today I got to eat strawberry ice cream!" Then she added colorful stickers.

The next day, Nhi wrote: "Today I helped my friend pick up his pen." And the day after that: "My teacher praised me for being obedient."

One day Nhi fell and scraped her knee. When she got home, she wrote: "Today I fell hard, but my mother hugged me tight." And drew a heart.

After many days, the notebook was filled with pages full of smiley faces, drawings, and stickers. Nhi opened the notebook, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

Nhi smiled and said to her mother: “I know, Mom. Happiness is when you find good things every day, even if they are small!”
