A Meal Without Saying Anything
Today, at the dining table, the whole family sat together but… no one said anything. Mom looked at the plate of vegetables, Dad silently picked up rice, and little Bi just played with the spoon.
Bi looked around at everyone and thought to himself, “Why is dinner so sad today? Usually the whole family is so happy.”
In fact, parents all have worries in their hearts: work, money, health... but don't want to say it out loud to make their children worry.
Bi raised his head and asked softly: "Mom and Dad, are you sad about something? I want to hear."
The whole family smiled and began to tell each other their stories. The soft laughter made the meal warm again.
From then on, every meal was a time for the family to share joys and sorrows. Bi smiled brightly: "Talking at mealtimes is much more fun!"
